Friends of New Close Schools (FONCS)
New Close’s PTA, Friends of New Close School (FONCS), are a group of likeminded parents and carers who work together to raise funds in support of the children at New Close Primary School. They are a central part of our school community and play an important role in bridging the gap between home and school life.
The FONCS are enthusiastic fundraisers and have helped the school improve equipment, resources, and educational experiences through their generous contributions. Their efforts have made a real difference in enhancing our children’s learning environment.
In addition to their incredible fundraising, the FONCS organise a wide range of events throughout the school year — including discos, Bingo, the Christmas Fayre, and the School Fete — all designed to provide fun, memorable experiences while enriching the children’s education.
Friends of New Close bring together staff, parents, carers, and friends in a welcoming, social environment to support our school. All parents and members of the school community are encouraged to get involved.
It doesn’t matter how you give—whether it’s through a donation or your time—or how much you give. Any help is greatly appreciated.
