COMMITTEES OF THE GOVERNING BODY OF NEW CLOSE COMMUNITY SCHOOL
|STAFFING AND FINANCE||Staffing: in accordance with the Staffing and Pay Policy, to make decisions concerning deployment, recruitment, appointment and staff development for all staff and to review the appraisal policy.|
Finance: to recommend a three year budget to support the school development plan objectives, monitor its spending, make necessary virements and exercise internal financial control.
|CURRICULUM||• To ensure that a broad and balanced curriculum is available to every pupil.|
• Ensure National Curriculum is taught to all pupils and to consider any disapplication for pupil(s).
• To agree or reject and monitor curriculum policy.
• Provision of sex education – to establish and keep up to date a written policy.
• To establish a charging and remissions policy for activities (non NC based).
• Monitor standards and achievements of the school
|PREMISES/HEALTH & SAFETY||To recommend a strategic plan identifying the school’s long term aims and one year objectives in order to achieve them.
